Résumé : |
"A management team can combine all qualities necessary for success which one individual alone cannot possess. Dr Belbin has identified eight key team-roles which are essential to effectiveness, and each of which is associated with a particular type of personality. The mix of personalities therefore has a major bearing on the outcome of a team s effort to reach its objectives. Dr Belbin examines teams of similar personalities and those composed of highly intelligent people; he assesses the roles of leadership and creativity in a team ; and he shows how team size and physical environment can influence effectiveness. Finally, he includes a self-perception inventory so that the reader can match his own personality to particular team-roles. Dr Belbin's research into teams - based on experiments at the Management College, Henley, and on case studies in industry - revealed that given adequate knowledge of personal characteristics and abilities of team members as derived from psychometric tests their likely results can be forecast in terms of success or failure. Unsuccessful teams can be improved by analysing their team design shortcomings and making appropriate changes." |
