Résumé : | The role of the midwife is diverse, with effective communication and advocacy underpinning all aspects of practice. When adapting care for those with sensory impairment (SI), it is important to identify und understand the areas in which their needs are not met, enabling holistic care irrespective of additional or alternative needs. This paper will discuss the necessary adaptions of midwifery practice to ensure women with SI continue to receive individualised, appropriate care. |
