Résumé : | The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends babies should be breastfed or receive breast milk exclusively for the first six months and, in addition to a varied diet, for up to two years and beyond (WHO 2021). In the United Kingdom (UK) evidence shows under half of mothers are using breast milk at six to eight weeks postpartum and only one per cent of babies are receiving breast milk at 12 months old (Public Health England 2020). |
