Résumé : |
More than a third of the Dutch population is in a state of uncertainty at the moment. The COVID-19 crisis is not only a health crisis but also an economic, social and emotional crisis (Social and Cultural Planning Office (SCP) 2020).
Pregnancy can be a worrying time for some women and, during a pandemic, confusing and often conflicting information can add to the stress they may already be experiencing. Continuous empathic feedback and updates are needed, but how do you manage that by phone, when face-to-face contacts with midwifery or specialist practices are restricted? Even though everyone is doing their best with remote contact, mostly by telephone, it's more likely that concerns will go unnoticed and/or unspoken. |
