| Résumé : |
This reflection explores a student midwife's experience of providing bereavement care to a family during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reflective practice allows people to examine their actions and experiences, with the aim of developing clinical skills and knowledge (Caldwell & Grobbel 2013). It allows students to consider clinical experiences from different perspectives and improve their decision-making skills (Chong 2009), promoting continuous development in practice. Reflection has been described as an effective method of dealing with emotional challenges (Rees 2012) such as processing experiences caring for a bereaved family, as discussed in this reflective essay using Borton's model (1970, cited in Jasper 2013). |
